Hello Michael,
I know I have only been on the list for a short while, even though I
have not shared much of this time with you I want to wish you well
anyway. I have some idea how awkward huge setbacks can be. Ten years
ago, my friend Lisa was angrily trying to learn a tricky guitar part.
During her efforts her cigarette lit her bed and our entire apartment
on fire. I was only beginning to figure out what I wanted to do with my
life, develop some sense of artistic expression. It was hard for me to
lose most of the tools I had been putting together. Only six years ago,
my friends and I were evicted from our loft on short notice. My friend
was so wary of me actually paying him money I owed for the utilities
that he took the precaution of having a mutual acquaintence take and
sell EVERYTHING that I had. I only found out when I came back a couple
of days later after I paid him.

I have been trying to build audio equipment for about ten years, and
needed to completely restart from scratch several times. Without any
credentials or many friends, it has been very rough going to even
survive at times, no less build anything.

Times of great material and personal loss are temporary. There are some
constants in life which one simply cannot lose, perhaps with less
clutter your joys can be of a more essential nature.

Wishing you interesting experience and good humour!
CJ
