Good question, Jay! I can't give you a date, but here's the story:

Tim Servo and I have founded Magic Smoke Electronics (website coming
soon). Magic Smoke will be releasing Thomas Henry's books as PDFs as
soon as they are recreated. The drum book is the first in line, and
it's almost done.

What do I mean by "recreated"? The books are scanned, converted to
text (OCR goes a long way), and the graphics are redrawn by Tim for
clarity. The content is essentially unchanged. This process takes
time, especially since we have day jobs.

We also plan to offer companion PC boards for the books, but we are
not holding up the book production for the PCBs.

But wait, there's more! Thomas also designed a couple of circuits
before he closed Midwest Analog, and we've got the rights to them,
too. We'd rather not talk about them too much, yet, but I will say
that we'll definitely be selling PCBs, probably selling parts kits,
and maybe offering completed modules (but that's a big "maybe").

You heard it first on synth-DIY!
