I'm going to build a custom CV interface and attach it to my
Theremin qunatizer. The theremin quantizer used to have a PV-1
pitch to voltage converter, a custom quantizer (A/D, lookup EPROM,
D/A and MIDI out).

The MIDI out was done by S-DIY alumnus Roman Sowa... who only lurks
occasionally at this time. He did some custom code for one of his
PIC controllers to accomodate my special needs.

I'm hacking the Doepfer first, as it will allow pressure and pitch.

I'm sure that the "CVS" project might yeild an appropriate interface as
well.

I control a custom, hacked. EFM rackmnount synth (2 VCO, 1 VCF, 1 LFO)
via CV control and a Matrix 1000... and YAMAHA TX-81Z.

For those interested... I could part with the TX-81Z for just under
$1000
considering the recent run-up on the DX-7 resale market <extra-huge
BFG>

I'm looking forward to the challenge of the three zones of the Kurzweil.

<fwiw> I'm working on a special project at work.. to determine when a
particular
event happens based on a sudden decrease in a certain parameter. I
~laughed~...
if I can make a guitar P/V happen with envelope follower / detector...
their
silly- at ss problem is a no-brainer. What is a simple 10% drop in a
fairly
noisless parameter compared with something that has multiple peaks and
multiple
zero crosses per cycle ??? :^P
