Yes, but I've often heard people refer to a glide or portamento circuit
as a "slew limiter", and that's usually followed by the nonsensical
statement that "a slew limiter is just a lowpass filter, and it of
course
has no effect on a sine wave." (In fact, I actually saw this statement
in a book chapter about the ARP 2600.) That grates on my nerves
for some reason -- a true slew limiter circuit sure as heck *will*
distort a sine wave, if the freq/amplitude is high enough.
