The *blaze are so-called softcores, i.e. they are functionality which is 
loaded into the FPGA. (Just like any other processor IP core such as the 
ones e.g. published on opencores.org.)

This is unlike the "hard macros" especially found on the Virtex-IIpro/4
lines of FPGAs where you have "real" PPC405 cores and additional units
(RocketI/O and such) on the chip.
