A quick check of Rochester's website shows CA3080's are available from them
and it looks like they are able to make more ( note the WIP part numbers
which normally mean they are making the chip work with their available
processes ).
I hate contacting Rochester personally but if anyone wanted to ping them and
find out what they're selling 3080's for, that would be very interesting.
I'm betting around $1.25ea based on last selling price and normal Rochester
pricing practice.
Now if there was enough market and incentive for them to talk to Doug Curtis
about remaking certain CEM chips since they have production lines capable of
so many of the old processes... Thats, of course, a pipedream.
