Nice article -- thanks for bringing it up. The discussion about inductors
(rf chokes) being liable to pick up radiation is interesting ... who would
have thought of that? I've used beads in VCOs to isolate the power supply
runs for the expo converter section from the switching section(s). They
definitely cut down the spikes in the expo section, although these may not
be a big problem in practice.
