Hey all. :) In trying to get to sleep last night - the puzzle of
labelling my wooden panels in my modular, arose yet again. :O :)

Originally - I went along with the thoughts of using metal lettering
punches, for labelling each of the dials / jacks / LEDs / etc. on the
panels but - lining up the letters as well as punching them at almost
the PRECISE strength for imprinting the letters in the wood??? What a
friggin' pain in the ass!! And length of time - OMFG!

Not worth it.

And they're almost impossible to see, in studio lighting. (Or any
lighting, for that matter. :P )

An idea that I came to whilst trying to get to sleep, was one of those
hand held devices that prints out lettering for you. (Boss at work
has one.)

Now - if I could get 'film/paper' to print on from it, that's clear
(going with white lettering hopefully - which would stand out nicely
against the purple stained background) - would anyone out there that
has experiences with laminating wood - know that if this could be
successful in the film / paper, adhering to the stain and / or
laminate behind it - as well as hold further laminate over top OF it -
to keep it affixed to the panel??

The number of knobs / jacks in this thing has already become a massive
amount of memory requirements for each of the panels. With addition
of another 18 knobs and 20 jacks yesterday (Ken Stone's Cynare Drum
Simulator / Ian Fritz's mini-VCO mounted properly) - my memory is
getting all the worst! :D LOL

Any help / ideas - greatly appreciated. Any idea used shall be
credited appropriate on my webpage. :)
