No. You miss understand my answer. Dopler was an analogy, not an explanation.

The problem here is that "an instance of frequency change" doesn't exist, or
if it does, it is infintesimally short.
During a sweep - i.e. frequency being affected by a constantly changing
control voltage, each successive part of the waveform will be under the
effect of a slightly different voltage. There is no way for the up and down
ramps to be clamped as symetrical pairs. In fact, if the frequnecy is low
enough and the sweep voltage fast enough, the "straight" segments of the
triangle wave will become noticably curved.
