I recently used this method to improve the sinewave shape on my Doepfer
A-110 VCO, and spent some time looking into various references for it and
how it works in general - there is a write-up of what I did and references
to it (including where it is to be found in Electronotes) at my site:

Some of it might be useful to others: unfortunately I didn't manage to fully
comprehend the analysis on the original paper, which is very frustrating!
