[sdiy] Rythm III Goldmine

I have taken a brief look inside the malfunctioning Rythm III unit from my 
Hammond. Three large pcbs - Switch board, rhythm pattern generator board and 
the voice board. The voice board is pretty neat. Seems to have 8 or 9 voices 
with what looks like variations for some since I see 2 snare, 2 bass etc..
It appears each voice is a classic twin T type ringing oscillator made from 
transistors, caps and inductors. One side of the PCB is an edgecard 
connector with conveniently labeled pins that show the gate and audio 
channels for each voice.
even more interesting is the noise generator and the trimmer adjustments on 
most of the voices. Looks like I'm on the road to a drum synth here if 
indeed all the malfunctions are in the rythm generator. I'll be in the 
market for a Midi to trigger unit soon...

So many possibilities!
