That totally sucks. Just in my meager collection, I have

12x 3396 in two Oberheim M6s
8x 3379, 1x 3360 in an ESQ-1
3x 3340, 1x 3360 in a Memorymoog voice board
and at least twenty or more various loose chips, sitting in ESD foam
and waiting to make noise again.

Curtis' chips are highly prized and are STILL being used in Dave
Smith's Evolver line. Few people have had as much impact on
synthesizer technology as Doug Curtis. Bow your head, tip your hat,
say a prayer, or do whatever you feel is right to give the man his due
for his accomplishements. Mr. Curtis will be missed.
