Yeah, that's the only drawback of veroboard I've seen so far. Much harder to
desolder
something. IC sockets are mandatory for me - but sometimes you want to
change a
resistor, too. My trick is to bend the resistor leads further from the body
than necessary,
for those resistors which are likely to be changed wihile optimising the
circuit. That way, you
can cut the resistor's body away while leaving the leads in place, and
solder a new value
in from the top side, directly to the studs of wire that remain from the old
resistor. This
also helps to solder a second resistor on top of the first for parallel
connection.
