[sdiy-interim] Cool Audio V2164 Quad VCA

On Monday, I sent the following to Cool Audio. There has been no response.


Hi:

Can you comment on the legal status of your V2164? I am a US customer and
would like to be certain that our products which may (in the future)
contain your ICs, do not violate any US maker's rights.

Specifically, does it violate any patent or copyright laws, especially in
regard to Analogue Devices' property?

I can see that patent rights may have expired, but mask copyrights have a
much longer life.

I talked to AD, but they did not seem to be aware of you.
