I’m trying Claude to see if it can handle Z-80 coding, so perhaps I can finally implement some long-desired firmware optimizations on a vintage synth I’m fond of. I’ve started learning Z-80 assembler just so I can try to follow along with whatever code Claude spits out. I learned basic, Pascal, and Fortran in school, but gave up trying to learn 6502 Assembler back in the day. Gonna give it another shot. Interesting times.

Not only did it hit all the points I gave it, but it even included some stuff I forgot, like a sound source, but also gave me a few ideas on how to operate it. And it took less than 15 minutes to do.
