Since the 259e's (or the 225e) do not (yet) follow the standard 1
V/oct to be able to play chromatic scales, I have done a quick fix
which was inspired by a flaw seen in the early Moog VX-351's (with
the fix being suggested by Dr Moog hisself!): feed the pitch out
from one of the 225e busses into TWO inputs of a voltage
mixer/processor, using two stacked banana cables (I use a Serge dual
processor from my system). Turn the gain in one of them to unity
(100%), and the other one to zero (initially). Let's call the latter
input the "scaler" for reference. The mix out should go to the 259e.
Now start playing scales, turning the gain of the scaler up until
you achieve a perfect chromatic scale. Use the tuning knobs in the
259e to get accurate tuning (use a tuner or another one of your
synths for reference).
Neat, huh?
Want pitch bending? Use the bias knob in your mixer to go up or down
(this works best if it has a center detent; perfect if it's spring-
loaded!).

Software updates schmuppdates!!
Now how can I get a clean sawtooth wave from these things...??
