Presets, software updates, and external control make this an easy decision, IMO. [four spaces left] Then I would play with whatever MIDI controllers I had, or could lay my hands on, and see if I was happy controlling the 200e over MIDI. If not, then you could fill up your cabinet with the four spaces of 222e. If you find MIDI control satisfactory, then expand on the sound/ control modules, probably starting with a 266e. [three spaces left] I would then ask myself if I really needed the 227e, or if I could use an external mixer, or maybe the mix out of a second 292e for my mixing needs. Don't get me wrong the 227e is a great module, it's just pretty big for a 12-space cabinet. > What are your experiences with your configuration? I find myself using the 210e less than I thought I would. Having a level of indirection in a patch is just one more thing to remember, which takes me out of "the zone." Your mileage may vary. Multiple 281es are good. I have two, and wish I had three. The 256e also comes in handy. > P.S.: Does anyone know if there is the possibility to buy a 4-modules > boat WITH power distribution but WITHOUT power supply using the > existing power supply of the 12-modules boat? > I'm not sure this is possible, but even if it was, rather than this I would try and trade up to an 18 space cabinet. -C Chris Muir cbm@well.com http://www.xfade.com
