I have made this error thousand times, especially if I am a little
nervous, like at a gig. Once I had a live gig that was part of a live
broadcast on radio and it was very important that everyone started
playing on the second. I was sitting there about 60 seconds before my
start time and the sound engineer wanted a last soundcheck, and my
instrument was silent! I started checking the patch, checking that all
modules worked, checking patchcords, the mixer etc with increasing
panic, with just a few seconds left my eyes went to the top right of
the 227e... master levels down, phew! After that i changed color on
the knob tops of these knobs to red, but i'm not sure it helps have
done this mistake many times since. The best would be if they were
backlit, with a dimmer so that they were glowing when off and off when
on if you know that I mean.
