Odd Behavior

2009-12-15 by Richard Lainhart

All: I'd like to ask if anyone else has this seen this phenomenon with their 200e system. I got a new, more powerful external power supply this morning from B&A to replace my original supply that burned out yesterday. I plugged it in and so far everything's working fine.

However, since adding the new PS, I've noticed this odd behavior - when I turn off the system, the right-hand LED lamp flashes or pulses for while, gradually slowly down over a period of 15 seconds or so until it finally shuts off. I've replaced the original white LED lamp with colored lamps; this particular lamp is red, so the light flashes red, somewhat like a turn signal. It definitely never used to do this, and so I must assume that it has to do with the new higher-wattage PS.

I don't think it's a problem as such, but it's definitely peculiar. Anyone else seen this?
