Hello, and introduction

2011-03-11 by Adam Scramstad

Hi all,

Joined the the list about 2 weeks ago - been lurking..... time to
speak up and say HI!

I'm a new to Buchla 200e user/owner .... modular enthusiast/hobbyist
for the last 15 + . Live in the great Pacific Northwest, Oregon USA.

Had a chance to meet up w/ fellow 200e enthusiast DougCL in PDX a
short time ago.... demoed his 200e system = WOW! It blew me away -
long story short: I decided to sell off my System 88 Synthesizers.com
and the Eurorack modular that I had recently built up..... man that
was ALOT of work, but it payed back generously... and now I'm a proud
and happy 18 Space Buchla 200e Instrument :)

I just received a 223e & 285e to add into the mix. Here's my setup:

Top Row: 250e - 256e - 291e - 223e - 297
Mid Row: 266e - 077 - 281e - 292e - 210e - 206e
Bot Row: 258v - 259e - 261e - 285e - blank - blank

223e in a Passive Frame

Really having a blast, and I've been truly inspired as of late w/
these fine modules. I'm a Solo Acoustic FInger-Style Guitarist/Teacher/
Performer by day... and Mad Sonic Scientist by night. Someday I hope
to create music that can marry both worlds of sound. In the meantime,
I'm just learning my way around the knobs and cords and making the
best of every moment.

Hoping to learn and exchange information that will help inspire others
as well as myself :)

Have a great day -

PS - a quick kind word re: selling off my other systems: you know I
really did enjoy the Synthesizers.com gear... well made and was a joy
to use - it will be missed... and it seemed like I was building a
Euromodular system to "mimic" Buchla way..... but you only live once,
and I'm ready to try something new... and now I have the "real deal" !
