Re: [200e] Re: Module Notes/System Overview

First - I noticed this yahoogroup's front page that it doesn't list the most
recent posts nor boes it have a 'messages' category on the left hand
sidebar, making it 'pert near impossible to view messages in the archive!
can this be changed?

second:

While I'm not the guy that posted that side light in the wood cheek query, I
will say that the 200e at Big City Music has no such LED (if I'm
understanding this correctly, as in in the wood). There are two banana
jacks on each side of the cabinet, one at the very bottom of the top piece
and one at the top of the bottom piece which are intentionally speaed for a
banana shorting bar. There is no electrical connection involved - this is
simply Don's rather inventive means to lock the cabinet open when unfolded.

Also, currently firmware updates are not performed by USB - they are done
via expansion cards, but I'm told that in the near future they will be be
downloadable (and I assume as sysex strings) from the Buchla webspace.
Right now, you stick a expansion card in the expansion card socket (upper
left hand corner of the center boat) which has been pre-programmed with a
given module's code, and power up the unit with the remote button of that
module held down. Hold it for a few seconds and wait a minute or so for the
update to complete and for the module to go live. It really is a nifity
arrangement.

Hi,

My name is Liz Tokar & I've been following this thread.

Since the software is probably updated through USB, maybe this is an
indicator for that(?)
