I found a way to strobe scales in a funny way. Set the 250e to play a straight scale, a chromatic or just a major scale gives the most obvious results. This patch makes use of the stage addressing facility in strobed mode. Use two cycling sections from a 281e, the first one to trig the strobe, the second one to do the addressing from its CV output. For starters set both attack .001 and decay about .10 (set them slightly apart). A third 281e section to gate the sound from your favourite oscillator, triggered from the all pulse out of the 250. Now, you can with fine tuning of the rate intervals between the two sections of the 281 to create repeating or slowly shifting patterns on the 250e, similar to viewing a spinning reel while altering the speed, illusions of counter motion and slow motion appear. johan
