OK, so based on comments from Johan <JB> and Chris <wiardmodular>, as well as some private email, I probably just have something wrong with my 225e. That's actually good news, IMO. Just for the record, my 225e setup is something like: Note buss A, B & C (on MIDI Chan 1, 2 & 3), mirrored to Busses E, F & G. Buss H is on MIDI channel 8. I'm using maybe ten CC busses, with speedlim-ited controller streams (from Max/MSP). The 225e seems to be particularly vulnerable to hanging right after a preset is saved or restored or when freshly powered up.
