I have a 222e and I'd say that if you are interested in one you will definitely want the 18WLS. I started with a 6 boat and swore I'd never be able to afford more but I've only got 2 spaces left on the 18WLS and I don't even have a 227e. I know it won't be long before I find myself getting another boat or (gosh) a 12WLS. Also, like you I didn't see the need for saving patches (never could b4, right). But the 225e is a key component to the 200e. I'd be happy to list them if you want. B&A have done a great job with individual modules saving their current settings but I can't tell you how great this baby is. And if you are getting the 222e... well, I'd say you have to have a 225e to save all of the different configs. -tom --- In 200e@yahoogroups.com, "cray5656" <amni56@...> wrote: > > I am still waying up if its worth getting the larger 18WLS or stay > with a compact 12WLS. > > I am thinking about the 222e to cover the bottom row > > Just wondering how many of you Buchla owners have the 222e or will get > one in the future....Should I be using the 222e space for something > else.....I just want to create abstract electronics, but i guess thats > what we all do with the Buchlas :-) > > 12WLS > 250e AFG > 281 QUAD FUNCTION GEN > 261 Complex VCO x2 or better a 259 and 261 > 266 SOU > 292 QUAD DYNAMICS > 291 TRIPLE MORPH FILTER > 222e > > The plus side of getting the 12WLS is that its cheaper and I can focus > on buying more of the euro modules to complete my euro system > > The plus side is if I buy the 18WLS I can get more modules in the future. > > Its such an unknown for me at the moment as I have never seen /heard > the Buchla in the flesh, and I DO REALLY WANT ONE. > > I have noe emailed Buchla twice with no reply and tried to call > yesterday Monday my time but it was Sunday in Cali, and today I left > it too late to call... > > Any more expert advice would be welcome, sorry to bother people with > noob questions >
