Hello, Yeah, on the Rails the pulses are properly converted to and from 5V gate signals, accounting for dual levels and duration. The general idea of the module is to provide two- way signal conversion for the three classes of 200e signals: audio, CV, pulses. In the case of CV conversion there are also precision attenuators and amplifiers on some of the channels for dealing with 1.2v/oct to 1.0 conversion. I move to Seattle soon where I'm getting my own work's manufacturing in order - giving me more time to design. In the case of the Rails a collaboration will be made... while the circuits themselves have been done for a long time, some work is needed in panel layout and functional quantity selection. You'll be able to read about that on yahoo group "harvestman" when that happens. 2008 is a great year to do it. -- This week I've been doing a lot of work with my 259e, 261e, and DARF, and have generally been satisfied with the tracking performance (tested with my ears, not measurement instrumentation). However, my Buchla setup is tiny and I'm presently short on bananas so I haven't been able to patch up some more intense in-system situations that would put the CVs at half-mast. -Scott --- In 200e@yahoogroups.com, "nicholas_kent" <zaum@...> wrote: > > --- In 200e@yahoogroups.com, "cray5656" <amni56@> wrote: > > > > the harvestman is putting out a module soon called the > > "transcontinental rail" I think and it lets you convert modular > > signals from the 1v/octave into the buchla so it will track via cv > > from euro and frac..etc. > > > > Any idea if Harvestman is going to be dealing with pulse/gate? > > Also is everyone happy with the CV tracking on the current revision > Buchla modules?
