explore my 200e

Hi Guys,

some more Questions about my new 200e. I did a search in the Manual
and on the Web but i did not found the Answer.

Would be nice if someone of you be so kind and help me.

250

If i enter the EDIT mode and press start or if i play a sequence and
enter the EDIT mode my sequence sounds totally different to what it
sounds in normal mode (no Edit) mode. Is this a Bug or a Feature or is
there just something wrong with my unit?

I clocked the 250 with a external Computer based sequencer by 16th
notes now successfully. (MODE stop) Is there anyway to reset the
sequencer to the last stage with one push? Because i always have to do
this manually after i stop my midi sequencer.

Any chance i can change the pulse width? If yes is there a chance to
change it individually for every stage? I'm not talking about the note
length.

261e

Principal OSC

if i send a signal to the "CV in" or "FM in" the Sound get modulated
by knob position center / zero. I mean it get modulated without
turning the mount knob from center / zero position.

Thanks in advanced!

Kai

p.s. i hope i can upload soon my first record i made with the 200e.

hello kai. i'll do my best and hope that i understand your questions correctly.

you mean the timings or output voltages are different when you're in
edit mode? i've never seen that before. it would be a very strange
defect. it seems much more likely that you've changed something else
as well as going to edit mode, like setting a jump, changing the time
scaling, or changing the output voltage range, all of which are easily
accomplished by accident.

there is no reset button. you could use strobed addressing, or an
imaginative configuration of pulse modes, to create a reset pulse from
your computer.

you mean hold each output pulse from the 250e for an arbitrary length
<= the note duration? no, sorry. you could do it with a 281e, i bet.

the FM knob is zeroed at the fully counter-clockwise position. the CV
input scaling knob is zeroed at twelve-o-clock (there is a detent
there.)

remember that because the 200e uses presets, any knob parameter may,
at any time, have a value that doesn't correspond to the physical knob
position. most knobs interpolate between their physical position and
the stored parameter value. to "reset" the knob, sweep it back and
forth across its full range.

hope that helps.
