On Sep 9, 2008, at 12:04 PM, Richard Lainhart wrote: > Great sounds - thanks! thanks richard! > Can you explain your basic patch? i took a picture here: http://divisionbyzero.com/2008-09-03.jpg it's kind of hard to remember exactly how i arrived there. this was one patch; other than altering the 227e channel volumes i didn't do anything but press record. there was a basic 250e sequence, lots of looping, etc. the first sound that comes in is the saw wave from the 259e mod osc sequenced from a channel of the 250e and run through a 292 lpf. the second sound is the 261e sequenced by the second 250e channel run through a 292 lpg. the mod osc is controlling amplitude and (maybe) pitch. the third sound is the main 259e osc; morph is being modulated by the mod osc. the fourth sound is a 260e in continuous mode gated from the 250e. there's a lot of randomness going on; the 266e is going _everywhere_, especially on the 261e. i used the quantized random voltage to deliver random gates which sometimes step the 250e here and there; there's also a 281e lfo going into the 250e's clock to subtly alter the tempo. other 281e envelopes are moving sounds in the stereo field (no quad on this). i believe one 250e cv track is doing the same. i'm sure a lot of other stuff that i'm forgetting, but following the wires in the picture is really hard to do. thanks, -jon "There are no differences but differences of degree between different degrees of difference and no difference." - James, William.
