"Mutant Synth" picture uploaded to the "miscellaneous" category. This is a modified Roland SH-5 monophonic synth from the mid 1970's coupled to a Buchla 250e and 222e. The Roland's keyboard has been temporarily removed and replaced with the Buchla voltage sources. The Roland has been modified for front panel patching - all the voltage sources have black banana jack outputs. Voltage destinations are switched 1/4" jacks. With nothing plugged in, the normal internal patching takes place. Plugging a cable in overrides the internal routing, before the typical voltage attenuation pots. The cables (not shown) have a banana plug on one end and a 1/4 plug on the other. Note that this is a "staged" photo - I do not have 222e at present; I'm on the waiting list for one. And nothing is actually hooked up or powered. When completed, the original left block should still provide tuning, octave switching, and oscillator and filter bending. When I get a 222e I'd like to build some cool wooden side pieces and rest of the cabinet. http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/sh5.shtml [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
