Pendulum/Ratchet anouncement

Pendulum/Ratchet anouncement

2009-05-20 by Chris Muir

I have designed a clock generator and pulse divider with some unique
features, that I call the Pendulum/Ratchet. The Pendulum/Ratchet is
compatible with the Buchla 200 and 200e series. I'm really excited
about this module, it's been really fun using the breadboard with my
200e.

A drawing of the front panel and brief description can be found here:
http://www.eardrill.com/modules/PendulumRatchet/

I plan on doing a run of these, with professionally designed boards
(one four layer and one two layer board). Because of the relatively
high cost of having these layouts done, the pricing of this module
will depend on the number of orders I receive. The cost won't go lower
than $850, but could be as high as $1350 if I only get ten orders. If
I get less than ten orders, it probably doesn't make sense to do the
run.

I am soliciting interest right now, along the lines of:
  "I'm in at $1350"
  "I'm in, if it's less than $1100"
"I'm in, if it hits $850"

I'll wait a couple weeks for orders to come in, then announce the
final price and take deposits. The terms will be a 50% deposit, and
50% right before shipping.

I hope you find that the Pendulum/Ratchet is a worthwhile addition to
the Buchla Electric Music Box,
Chris

A very cool module, Chris - it looks like one could execute all kinds
of interesting rhythmic ideas with this.
