NYC 200e Demo / NON-Midi users?

NYC 200e Demo / NON-Midi users?

2007-01-16 by derwskee

Thought I'd ask once more if there is anyone in the NYC area that
would be kind enough to give a short demo of the 200e? I have
references (thanks Chris!!)

Also, does anyone here NOT use Midi with their 200e. I am thinking of
a self contained system comprised of...

(2) Oscs
(1) SOU
(1) Quad Funtion
(1) Quad Dynamics
(1) ARF
(1) Morph Filter

Thanks in advance!

Mine will hopefully arriving shortly, similar config,
but minus sou(for now.)
I have no plans to use midi.
Once it arrives, if you want to give me a phone call,
maybe I can give you a tour over the phone.

Even in a non-midi capacity it pays to have the 225e in your system as
a memory module. You can have a lot of fun storing different Arf
sequences, Sou settings, oscillator sounds, etc., and then pumping
pulses or voltages into the program changer. Good way to give your
sequencer pattern memory at the very least.

Nice 8 unit system, but...

I would get at least the 12 space cabinet, if not the 18. You know you're going to want more. That leaves room for:

I would eventually get the MIDI interface, even if you don't think you're going to use it for MIDI. The presets are really great fun to play with. How I end up using them is not for long-term patch storage, but as a few variations on a patch that I can jump around between while playing. Plus, it's fun to call up presets that were done with different patches. Talk about a source of uncertainty.

I'm not really using the 210 Router as I thought I would be, for helping with presets, but it is a pretty handy 8 in - 5 out, matrix mixer.

The 256e CV Processor is _really_ handy. I already want another one.
