222e questions

222e questions

2007-04-02 by Stewart Moroney

Has anyone got one of these yet, are they shipping?

I've got a full 18 panel system and I'm thinking of getting another 6
panel boat to put the 222e in. Is it possible to have the 2 sections
of the 222e in separate cabinets (that are linked via the connection
at the back), I'd have the touch sensitive panel section in the new 6
boat and put the cv output panel in my main 18 panel system.

Also can someone from buchla provide more input on the config options
between the 27 keys and the cv outputs, looks like there is a lot to
talk about.

I don't think so.

The sensor for the rings is in the "cv output panel", so it really wants to be above the keyboard.

It would still be above the keyboard. I plan on putting the 6 panel
boat with the keyboard underneath the lowest boat that currently
contains the oscilators so I would have 2 boats lying flat on the
desk. The cv output module would be on the vertical boat in the
cabinet. My question is will the communication between the keyboard
and cv output sections still function when they are comunicating via
the rear external connections from the new boat to the cabinet rather
that internally within the cabinet.

It was explained to me three different times that they must be in the
same cabinet, and that the connection is not via the internal bussing.
