The 200e, in any cabinet size, is not going to work on your lap.
It's also worth noting that an 18 module 200e is not too far off the
size of a Minimoog Voyager.
Minimoog Voyager: 30.5" Wide X 18" Deep X 12" High (when fully
upright).
200e: 27.5" Wide X 18" Deep X 14" High (when unfurled).
They both weigh in at about 40 lbs. They both have cool wheeled cases.
200e shipping case is 30 X 17 X 11.5
Moog doesn't list the size of their case, but it holds a flat Mini, so
I bet it's at least 33 X 21 X 6

As far as module configuration, if it was me, I might skip the
sequencer, and get more synthesis/CV processing. I know this sounds
like heresy, but I prefer working with this step sequencer /
algorithmic thing I wrote in Max, that I call Gyre.
I've already stated that I think that the 225e MIDI decoder is close
to a must-have.
I find the 256e CV processor really handy.
I think that the 227e mixer is really useful, particularly if you're
ever planning on doing surround. The little submixer section is good
for mixing sources into the 291e Filter.
I already have a pair of Quad Function Generators, but wouldn't mind a
third.
I think you will eventually want more waveform generators.
