Yes, the boats in the SKB case are bus connected. There are cables going between the boats. Only one boat has a power supply connected and it is deeper than the other boats. The cables interconnect the bus boards between the boats. It works pretty well but I don't know how well it will work over larger distances. I'll leave the further configuration and cost questions to the Buchla folks.... Eric
