It is the difference between scanning 65,526 clusters, and potentially scanning up to 268,000,000 clusters per access. If you format your SD card of any size <= 2GB with FAT32, you will see a noticeable and annoying delay *every time* the unit powers on. If you format it with FAT16, it will not have any noticeable wait time. TW
