Regarding CUSTOM:  You can always use USR entry mode on the keyboard 
and assign the CUSTOM menu to the unshifted MODE key.

Yes, I had the same issue regarding the [+] key and [ENTER] keys; plus, 
the alpha and Greek layouts are different.
