I think some of the internal functions use the radian mode only, so it switches whether you like it or not and there's not much you can do to prevent that. You can assign a key (or create a custom menu) to toggle degree/radian back & forth. In either case, you can use something like the following code to do the toggle. << IF -17. FS? THEN -17.
