Like I said the backup file is a snapshot of the HOME directory (and all it's subdirectories) and the alarms. That's in case your calculator crashes or you need to do a factory reset, you'll be able to restore everything as it was. I think you can do the backup to the SD card, so using Conn4x for a backup would be more important for 49g users than 50g users. Actually, I think there's more than 1 system for writing progs on the PC, check www.hpcalc.org if you want to experiment with different ones. But like I said, I've never used them. If the prog gets kind of large, I sometimes use the EMU48 emulator. Once you get used to the keyboard assignments, it's pretty handy and goes faster than on the calculator. --- On Fri, 7/3/09, rickwendel763242 <rickwendel763242@...> wrote: > From: rickwendel763242 <rickwendel763242@...> > Subject: [50g] Re: Can anyone help me with the connectivity kit? > To: 50g@yahoogroups.com > Date: Friday, July 3, 2009, 5:18 PM > There are no real differences between > the 49G and the 50G except I think the driver installation > is started and completed using the CD that also installs the > application program.
