50g

Out of the box the hp50G has 3-fonts. the font 8 being the larges
showing 8-lines in stack. 

Question:

Is there a font available that would show only 4-lines being
proportional twice as large as the system 8 font?

I don't think so. But have a look at the fonts available at:

http://www.hpcalc.org/hp49/utils/fonts/

There are some programs there for making your own fonts.
