Hi Mick, > Who would be interested in helping out with writing some tutorials for > the 50g, if we get a few people together it should be easy to make a > some good tutorials in no time at all. Just a thought, Mick C Wouldn't it be easier to collect links from the web and sort it in a useful way? I think there are already a lot of great tutorials about the 49g+/50g e.g. at hpcalc.org. The problem isn't the tutorial itself, but to find the information or how-to as quick as possible, isn't it? Best regards, Thorsten

Also *we* would learn alot from each other, eg, shortcuts, easyier ways to do things. We could start with a selection of links, but (with help) I would like to take it a little further. Cheers, Mick C, the boss lol

Mike
Have you considered making it a Wiki so that it's easy for people to
update content?

Just a thought, Mick C I got mine yesterday evening. I'm already used to RPN, because I've been using a rpn calc on windows for years. Now I have to get acquainted with RPL he-he! What kind of tutorial do you foresee? When I had a Psion Series 5 I used to write small articles for www.opl32.com which now seems to be defunct. I think I will write small articles while discovering and learning the 50G usage. eg: how to create a function, how to draw a function curve, etc. Ponctual, directly usable howtos... bye for now. Jean (btw I used to sign jb, which are my initials, but jb seems to already be used on the hp48 newsgroup...)

Just go into the catalog (CAT), select the fuction and press the help soft menu key. Also feel more than free to ask in here any questions that you might have, not only will it give you a quick answer but it will also give you a diffent point of view. Another thing you might want to look at is www.hpcalc.org.com, you can get extra functionality without even having to touch rpl, also it can provide a good source to learn from 2. Also if you have MSN or YAHOO my nicks are michaelpc@... and mick8882003, then u can ask me questions online. Ok well I hope you get alot out of the 50g, Cheers and bye for now. Mick C Oh yes and if you are keen on writing some tutorials I am keen to help out, our wiki site is execlent for that, as u can edit it then someone else can add to it and share the info back to everyone else. Works well.

Can I have a show of hands who thinks what would be a good first tutorial for the 50G, What I have in mind is to give a total introduction to either a specific task or process and provide a comprehensive turorial for such. I have two motives for this, one is to enhance this group and two is to provide new users with helpful tips to get started. Cheers Mick C
