Glad to be a member

I'm glad to be a new member.

I am a new owner of a 50g since Nov.2006. I'm slowly learning to use
this calculator.

I can't get the the equation Ke = -Ln[(Vd)(Tr)divided by D divided by 1+
(Vd)(Tr)] divided by tau minus t'. I'm using the algabraic mode. I use
this equation at work. I know the numerical values for variables except
Ke. It would be very helpful to store this equation and plug in the
variables.

I have spent hours on this equation , but still get the "syntex error"
message.

I would appreciate any help.

I'm not sure if this will come thru ok, I've never posted code here
before. I think this is what you want.

%%HP: T(3)A(R)F(.);
'Ke=-LN(Vd*Tr/(D*(1+Vd*Tr)))/(\Gt-T\180)'

Just save the 2 lines to a file and use Kermit to transfer to the
calc (or use the ascii mode of your transfer program).

I know this doesn't teach you how to enter the equation. It's hard to
tell where you're going wrong. Usually the problem point in your
entry is highlighted when the error message is displayed. If you can
tell us where the highlight is, we might be able to determine the
problem.

Oh, and for the tick mark in the "t'" I used the alpha/right-shift/U.
You can't use the regular tick mark because it's used to delimit the
equation itself. You can find it and the tau if you select the "char"
button on your keyboard.

Easiest way to enter in an equation is to use the equation writer.
Then once you have it entered so it looks correct, select the whole
equation and push COPY (RS-VAR). Now you can hit PASTE anywhere you'd
like it.
