Hi Bob ! mine plays perfectly ... and i don't know where ondrash77 lives ! You're right , the first thing to do is to check if all the ribbon cables between the keyboard and other(s) PCBs are well fitted in their sockets on both sides . For ondrash77 , have a look at http://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/htm/an1x.php (sorry it's in german ...) : there are wiews of the inner parts of an AN1X , just to get an idea of what is inside the case . Be careful , don't remove anyting without marking the connectors , and be very careful with rhe screws . A lot of them are fitted into plastic , and don't let a loose screw inside ! The wide PCBs are fragile , don't bow them too much , you can break copper tracks or a solder of a SMD I.C. If connector contacts , pins .. are dirty or oxydized you can use cleaning fluids for electronics such as KF cleaner (very useful for "scratching" pots too) , wipe out the excess cleaner before mounting . You can also clean all "suspect" traces on the keyboard PCB (beer, soda ..) which can sometimes be found there! But one more time : act slowly and carefully , and if you know an electronics hobbyist he could be helpful . And don't worry , the AN1X seems to be a reliable machine , mine is a 97 model , has known different owners and is still perfectly playable ! @+ J.F.
