Aftertouch is programmed at the Scene level. Use the Parameter Knob to select the Voice/Scene Setup menu; use the Set No., Param, Source, and Depth buttons to toggle through the Source value for each Set No. until you identify 'AT' for Aftertouch as the Source; you may then use the Param button to determine where AT is routed and the Depth button to determine to what degree the Param value will be offset by AT. This can be a negative or positive value (handy that is!) so you can reduce or increase the mod depth by AT. If you do not want AT to result in any modulation - change the Param value to 'Param Off' or choose a new Source of your liking. Personally, I find the lack of AT routings on the AN1x to be a bit boring. As a consequence, I often try to use AT in my patches. Check out MhtlLead in the JDLX-Musique folder here at Onelist for an example. On the other hand, 'classic' analog synths didn't have AT - and often didn't include Ribbon Controllers either - so patches without AT could be considered more 'authentic' I suppose ;-) Hope this helps, Jon tspeer wrote: > > From: tspeer <tspeer@...> > > I may be alone here- but I use my AN1-x as my main controller. > -and I find its monophonic aftertouch ..a bit too easy to trigger. > > yes- I've read the manual- but I cannot seem to find out how to turn > aftertouch off. > > Has anyone else run into this? > > Todd > http://users.ev1.net/~xpander/smcchome.html > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Good friends, school spirit, hair-dos you'd like to forget. > Classmates.com has them all.
