In order to get it working you have to provide the midi clock signal from your DAW. While most instruments have "integer only"; midi clock resolution, they should have no issues with syncing to a fractional tempo.

I have some drum loops that for some reason are 77.5 bpm. I set the arp tempo to MIDI, but I couldn't figure out how to get things to work. I just recorded the midi data, then played it back at 77.5, but how are you supposed to do it?
