Hi all, Just dropping to say that my outputs, at times, have severely dropped in output. Like about a tenth of the normal volume. Maybe this has happened half a dozen times? Solution has always been to switch off, then back on again. Haven't pinpointed the exact cause, but it always seems to have occurred on patches that are quite loud in themselves. I may have 'clipped' or overloaded something along the way. I also had the 'snap', 'crackle', and 'pops' when I first got it. I put it down to to something becoming corrupt when switching the synth off while it was still playing (eg. the long sustain of a pad). It would only affect the current patch (plus one or two others) but the rest of the synth would be fine. Eventually, even the corrupted patches would come good (after warming up?). Anyway, it's not happened for years since ensuring everything is silent before powering down. Phil From: jondl_2000@... So it sounds like > it is heating up or something and then cutting out. This is conspicuously similar to the behavior exhibited with the "old" problem of audible 'popping and clicking' sound at start- up - until the unit reached a normal operating temperature (jokes and comparison to a REAL analog will ensue...) I'm speculating, i.e., not fact - just opinion, that the problem with your AN1x is related to the other known problem. Of course, I could be wrong. ;-) Did you reinitialize your AN1x as suggested? This has been known to clear seemingly random acts of strange behavior in the AN1x. Isn't the key command '7+8+9' while powering the unit up? Then it should prompt you with a selection of init options - just choose ALL and reply YES. Peter K. - if you're following this thread - what was the weirdness your AN1x displayed. Didn't you have something along these lines or just the 'popping & clicking' problem? > > any other ideas? > > jake regards, Jon Community email addresses: Post message: AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com Subscribe: AN1x-list-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Unsubscribe: AN1x-list-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com List owner: AN1x-list-owner@yahoogroups.com Shortcut URL to this page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list Your use of Yahoo!
