SV: [AN1x-list] Re: an1x construction. (Wall Warts of all sorts)

2001-10-03 by J Acker

Well, the thing is...for me at least this is a good thing. If I am working with certain pieces of equipment for a while (over days) I leave the wall wart plugged in, but I have all my power coming from one power strip going on to others. the point is, with one plug I can turn off power (after turning off units with on/off switches) completely to the whole little studio room.

I find this comforting when we get thunderstorms, beause people liveing near us have lost TV sets, radios, all kinds of things in recent years in lightning.

Well, than i guess also the power supply TO the Pa-3B was switched
off. When i turn my AN1x off, and leave the Pa-3B in the plug, so
that it can eat energy, it stays handwarm.

Whatever wall wart you leave with energy, switching off the synth,
doesn´t switch off the wall wart. You have to either pull the wall
wart out of the plug or use a switchable plug-board.
