Re: ATT: Gary Gregson re: AN1xEdit and Mac OS-X

FWIW...

Emagic is slightly ahead of the curve porting their product line to OS
X - including SoundDiver. Since I've already bought into using Logic
for the past year I intend to pick up a copy of SD somewhere down the
line for it's AN1x editor. Actually, I'm interested in the usefulness
of SD as a device specific librarian to integrate with Logic - much
like my old Opcode Vision/Galaxy combination. I wonder if MOTU will
update Unisyn? Probably. Does it offer a AN1x module?

As an alternative, you could maintain a seperate boot partition along
with OS X on your hard drive and boot into OS 9.x.x as an interim
solution until you're ready to move past AN1xEdit. I suspect many of us
will maintain such a setup until our 'favorites' are either no longer
supported or less necessary then we find them to be at present.

I have to tell you - after reading some of the recent specs on OS 10.1
I'm finally getting excited about X. Only catch is - what to do with
the plethora of 2nd hand, serial port MIDI Interfaces that will litter
the 2nd hand market? ;-) ha haha

regards,

Jon
