If I'm in patch mode, it changes to computer mode when
I launch An1xEdit. If I switch back to patch mode, it will
switch back to computer mode when I do something in
An1x (like press a key on the virtual keyboard).

I'm just going to run An1xEdit midi out through a second
USB midi interface and into the amt8. The amt8 should 
stay in patch mode (this is what I do with Nord Modular
anyway). It is a drag that all the synths I have that have
patch editors will need to be run this way.
