Here are some idea's...

On page 101 of the AN1x Owners Manual you will find a half
dozen Voice Creation Examples. This is a good exercise to walk
through if for no other reason then to make yourself more
familiar with the AN1x layout. The manual can be had as a free
PDF from the files sections of the AN1x-list:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files

You will also find the free AN1x Voice Set-up Guide as a PDF in
the same 'Documentation' directory within the FIles section. This
contains the parameters for 32 voices not included in the Factory
bank - another good exercise to review.

In the Bookmarks section
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/links you will find links
to site such as Intermusic.com which offer some very good
programming tutorials
http://www.intermusic.com/channelarticlehome.asp?Channel=K
BD&FeatureType=TUT

Another fine offering can be found at Keyboard magazine online -
their Soundforum column is written by Peter Gorges of NI and
includes a free softsynth (Mac & WIn) which is used as the basis
for the tutorials. This is one of the best hands on tutorials
regarding subtractive synthesis I've read - the principals of which
are applicable to many synths.

Regarding the Wizoo books already mentioned in this
thread...I've read only Dave Bellinghams book on Logic Audio
Mac and while I enjoyed it - the included CD-ROM had some
useful resources - I found it to be more useful in a pre-purchase
context . It didn't really offer much in the way of tutorials as his
(discontinued) Logic Audio FAQ had.

HTH,

Jon
