Re: PERCUSSION SOUNDS

2003-01-30 by pharoahscully <peter.scullion@talk21.com>

Hi Ronan (Is that really you LOL!!)

As already mentioned Bazzimans Kick & Snare programming tips are
really helpful, I also have created a Drum & Hat Patch/sequence in
the files area named Petes Voice Set here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files/AN1x%20Voices/Petes%
20Voice%20Set%

Which mabe of some use to you...

No Sustain on the envelopes & use the decay to tighten up the sound,
& PEG Decay & the start of the sound is a good starting point, & Dont
forget FM can help to get clangy Percussive/metallic sounds...

Hope this helps!!

time. I'm just wondering whether any of you have had much luck
getting percussive sound [kicks, snares, hi hats, bleeps et c et c]
out of your AN1X/AN200 PLG150 or whatever. I own a AN200 myself. I'd
be very interested in hearing any percussive sounds that any of you
have created or indeed any tips that any of you could suggest in
creating these types of sounds. My current project is to make a
complete tune using nothing else but Sonar [Sequencing], a compressor
[RNC 1773] and the AN200. Hopefully gaining in the process an in
depth understanding of the AN200.
