Excellent points from all. To summarize: - The PLG has a couple of synth features (e.g. cross modulation) not found in the AN1X. - The AN1X is bi-timbral, the AN150 is mono timbral in the synth section. - One other difference, the AN1X amp (the electric amp which is connected to the volume knob, not the electronic on that is part of the synth architecture) appears to overload and clip, providing a natural analog distortion. This is highly correlated to the use of the electronic amp-feedback feature, as the amp feedback reduces the gain. But you can separate the effects by adjusting the main volume control and observing the increase in "smokiness" as you raise the volume on loud (high gain) patches. This feature/problem does not seem to appear on the AN150. As a result, I believe that warm timbres come more naturally to the AN1X, though I worry about eventual amp problems. Regards, Jerry
